Powder compaction
Work material
Carbon powder
Issue
Short life and Wear at an early stage
Customer's request
The strength of the pressed body decreases at an early stage due to the deterioration of the mold in carbon powder compaction.
Proposal & result
The state of wear was similar to adhesive wear, which was that the bond phase was selectively lost.
For an improvement, we proposed the grade KD20.
KD20 has the same with same hardness as the used grade,
and the bonding phase is strengthened by some additive component.
Due to KD20 proposal, and the life has been doubled.
