Cemented carbide forming before sintering
Cemented carbide is mainly used for precision mold parts and jigs, and plenty of time is required in grinding due to its hardness.
Therefore, providing rough machining before sintering significantly shortens the total machining time.
We can carry out machinings such as hole, shoulder, grooving, taper, tap, male threading and other shapes.
Hole processing
Clearance hole, lower hole, pin hole, discharge flow hole, wire start point and others.
Direct tap processing
Direct tap processing on cemented carbide for mold fixing (or for other purposes) is possible.Processing thread sizes from M2 to M16 is possible(Threading shape is not JIS and ISO standard).
*Please contact us as for thread size of more than M16.
Shoulder milling
Shoulder milling, chamfer processing, fillet processing, and other kinds of machining are possible.
Groove processing
Fillet machining is possible on grooving machining part.
Taper processing
Possible to produce with your requested angle.
End mill processing
Milling of clearances and pockets are possible.
Note that fillet will remain on the corner.
Complex shape
Fillet processing on grooves are also possible.
Size
Cemented carbide mold size is getting bigger, along with the increasing mold size for motorcores. Following this trend, we are increasing our possible sintering size for production.
-Round shape: Available up to diameter 400mm and length 80mm
-Block shape: Available up to thickness 80mm and length and width 320mm
*Note that machining limitation depends on materials.
Please feel free to contact us for consultations on carbide material shape processing. We will propose optimal processing according to the material type and shape.
