Issue
Short life Breakage
Customer's request
The mold used for the brass drawing was damaged, so we asked for improvement.
Proposal & result
Proression of adhesion wear, assumedly caused by adhesion of the work material, was observed on the mold, and damages occurred starting from areas where stress concentration was particularly high during processing. The reason for the damage is considered to be the adhesive wear, causing reduction of strength in areas where the stress is concentrated. The issue has improved by using our MC20 grade, which has high adhesion resistance.
